Terms of Service

Basic terms for using the Cutplay service.

Effective: 2026-06-18

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the operator Cutplay, an individual operator (the "Operator"), and users in connection with Cutplay (the "Service").

Article 2 (Definitions)

Terms used in these Terms are defined as follows.

  • "User" means a member or non-member who uses the Service under these Terms.
  • "Member" means a person who signs up through Google account linking or another method designated by the Operator.
  • "Points" means the usage unit deducted when using Service features such as AI background removal.
  • "Content" means images and related data uploaded by users or created or stored through the Service.

Article 3 (Posting and Amendment of Terms)

The Operator posts these Terms on the Service landing page or a linked page.

The Operator may amend these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law and will announce the effective date and reason in advance.

If a user continues to use the Service after the amended Terms take effect, the user is deemed to have agreed to the amended Terms.

Article 4 (Service Description)

The Service includes AI-based image background removal, saving and downloading results, and background removal through the API, along with other features provided by the Operator.

The Operator may change or suspend all or part of the Service for technical or operational reasons and will give advance notice of material changes.

Cutplay is a free service operated by an individual without business registration or e-commerce reporting. We do not offer paid checkout, paid point purchases, or paid products or services. Points represent usage limits and promotions (such as sign-up bonuses) only; they have no cash value and are not refundable or transferable.

Article 5 (Membership and Accounts)

Membership is created through authentication methods provided by the Operator, such as Google sign-in.

Users must not sign up using another person's information or false information.

Members are responsible for managing their account information. The Operator is not liable for damage caused by unauthorized account use unless due to intent or gross negligence.

Article 6 (Points)

Points may be deducted for successfully processed jobs when using Service features.

Promotional points such as sign-up bonuses follow validity periods and conditions set by the Operator.

Points are not redeemable for cash, cannot be transferred or sold, and no paid purchase method is provided.

The Operator may adjust or revoke points for reasonable reasons such as policy changes, abuse prevention, or correction of system errors.

Article 7 (User Obligations)

Users must not engage in the following:

  • Uploading or processing content that infringes others' rights (copyright, portrait rights, privacy, etc.)
  • Uploading or processing illegal, obscene, or violent content
  • Reverse engineering the Service or API, making excessive automated calls, or otherwise abusing the Service
  • Interfering with the Operator's or third parties' systems or harming Service stability
  • Any other act that violates applicable law or these Terms

Article 8 (Content and Results)

Users retain rights and responsibility for uploaded content.

Users must confirm on their own that they have the rights needed to use the Service.

The quality, completeness, or fitness of AI results for a particular purpose is not guaranteed. Users must review results before use.

Article 9 (Restrictions and Termination)

The Operator may restrict use of the Service or suspend or terminate membership for reasonable causes such as Terms violations, abuse, or legal violations.

Members may request withdrawal through features provided by the Operator, such as My page.

After withdrawal, information that must be retained under applicable law may be kept according to the Privacy Policy.

Article 10 (Disclaimer)

The Operator is not liable for Service interruptions caused by force majeure such as natural disasters, war, communication failures, or AI model or infrastructure failures.

The Operator is not liable for damage caused by the user's own fault.

For the free Service, the Operator's liability may be limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Article 11 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.

Disputes related to use of the Service shall be subject to the courts designated by applicable law.

Supplementary Provisions

These Terms take effect on 2026-06-18.
